The festival of vine pruning ("La Fête de la taille de la vigne")

Each year, the weekend nearest to St. Valentine's day, the vine growers of Cru Lirac celebrate the trimming of the vine.

Biddings of generosity
("Les enchères de la générosité")

The grape-growers and winemakers of Lirac support the various associations by organizing an annual auction sale of Lirac wines.

In 2004, following the floods in the valley of the Rhone due to this large and unforeseeable river, the wine growers wished to give their support to the victims of the disaster of the Rhone.

On sunday February 22th, in Avignon, took place the auction sale of Lirac wines with tasting of white and red Lirac and discovery of the best Lirac millésimes of the two last decades. This sale made it possible to release a benefit of 5 000 euros which were transferred to the victims of the disaster.

In autumn 2005 they will meet again for the next public auction sale of the great millésimes of Cru Lirac!!
