“ Lirac, le Cru très rive droite ”
 “Lirac,
le cru très rive droite” an allusion to the classy world
of Paris’s right bank, and to the vineyard’s location
by the Rhône.
The Lirac appellation sits atop the pyramid
in the hierarchy of Côtes du Rhône vineyards.
It is one of the 13 Côtes du Rhône AOCs,
being one of the five in the southern portion of the region, together
with Tavel (its neighbour), Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
The other eight AOCs are situated in the north of the valley.
